Juliun Concert, 12/8/2001, Daerlynn Concert Series II, Arthe Hollow Inn

As transcribed by Mykk Dalys

It has been 367 years, 85 days since the Victory of Lanival the Redeemer.
It is the 3rd month of Lirisa the Archer in the year of the Amber Phoenix.
It is currently spring and it is early morning.
You have a feeling it's past the Anlas of Hodierna's Blessing.

The sky is clear.

In the distance, an excited group of people are heading towards Arthe Dale. A loud voice exclaims, "Hurry! Juliun Parterre is about perform at the Arthe Hollow Inn! This concert should be wonderful!"

[Arthe Hollow Inn, Common Room]
The room is filled with long, low tables and stools, where several people sit eating hearty bowls of Arthe Hollow's popular lamb stew. A large stone fireplace dominates one wall. Daisy Burdock, the inn's cook and waitress, crosses the room carrying a precarious arrangement of bowls and plates. She stops briefly to tease and joke with a regular customer or glance out the window. A sign is posted prominently next to the archway. You also see a wooden menuboard, a polished wooden bar with a glass on it, some wooden stairs, and an open doorway.

Concert

(Silmariane screams like a groupie and drops her "I Love Juliun Parterre!" sign as she rushes over, smothering the real thing in huggles and begging him for an autograph!!)

Xaphira exclaims, "Attention please!"
Xaphira beams!

Xaphira exclaims, "Thank you all for coming to the Arthe Dale Concert Series, sponsored by the Mentor Society!"

Silmariane smiles dreamily, taking her seat without a blink of her star-struck eyes!

(Xaphira reads from Daerlynn's notes...)

Xaphira asks, "Smooch Heston..?"

Juliun chuckles.
Xaphira casually observes the area.
Xaphira shrugs.

Xaphira says, "Anyways..."

Juliun grins at Xaphira.

Xaphira exclaims, "We have a special treat for you this fine eve!"

Xaphira says, "Our performer tonight is an adorable elf..."
(Xaphira gushes)

Juliun strikes a heroic pose.
Juliun says, "Single too"
Juliun grins.

(Xaphira goes on and on, blah, blah blah,....)

Silmariane bounces from where she is sitting!

Xaphira says, "So, without further ado.,...."

Xaphira exclaims, "I give you...Julium!"
Xaphira exclaims, "Er, Juliun, too!"
Xaphira laughs!
Xaphira blushes a bright red color.

Juliun chuckles.
Xaphira winks at Juliun.

Juliun rubs his hands together.
Juliun bows.

(Xaphira hands over the stage)

Juliun puts his wine in his velvet backpack.
Juliun smiles.

Silmariane observes Juliun with fascination.

Juliun says, "Lets see..how should I start out..."
Juliun scratches his head.
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "Before I begin, let me tell you all a bit about myself. Hopefully, it will clear things up if any questions happen to arise during my performance."

Juliun says, "If you're a girl, however, you can always ask me yourself later."

Silmariane gazes at Juliun with a dreamy look on her face.

Juliun winks.
Juliun hums cheerfully to himself.
Juliun coyly says, "I'm in-line with the moon Katamba, I like reading, pasta, and walks on the beach."

Xaphira says, "Upstairs, in private."
Xaphira chuckles.

Juliun winks at Xaphira.
Juliun ducks his head.
Juliun casually observes the area.
Juliun says, "Wrong place."

Juliun says, "Though my birth home was deep in the mountainous regions of Shard, I've traveled all over Elanthia...though not by choice, believe me."

Juliun clears his throat.

Juliun says, "Of course, in doing so, I came across many strange and interesting things. For example, the interesting tent I ran across in the middle of the Wasted Plains..."

Juliun smiles slightly.

Juliun says, "However, today, I'm not going to focus on that aspect of my life. Rather, this is a glance into the past, while I still lived in the snow and ice."

Juliun says, "I was very surprised when I came to the Crossings and read about the immortals, that the Goddess I had prayed to all my childhood life was not listed. I flipped through the pages, confident that she was among them somewhere...and yet she was no where to be found."

Juliun says, "Though not well known...in fact some might say, not known at all in certain parts of Elanthia...there is a fourteenth Goddess that is never mentioned and is only known in a small section of Shard, amoung the mountains, my home."

Juliun says, "I would guess the only reason she has not taken offense and wrecked every library in existance is simply because she doesn't have the ability to look beyond the village she "died" in. "

Juliun shrugs.
Juliun says, "Based on what is written of her in books, I drew a small sketch of her. Now, I am not artist, so do not mock my artistic abilities."

Juliun chuckles to himself.
Juliun grins.

Juliun smiles slightly and takes out a small scrap of paper from his pocket. He smooths it on before holding it up, displaying the image of a young girl with dark hair that flows down her back and over her eyes, pale skin, and an infectious grin. He quicky shoves it back into his pocket.

Juliun says, "Cute, isn't she?" He wrinkles his nose and grins. "She perfers to take this form over an adult body because...well, I'll get to that in a moment."

Juliun says, "She has no preference over whom she helps. If it suits her needs, she'll do it. She has no sense of justice. If it takes too much effort, she won't do it."

Juliun says, "When trying to decide my theme for tonight, I went through many ideas...I started off with flowers, but I soon gave it up because the main story was not going as planned."

Juliun smirks.
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "Stories can do that. You start out writing it, and then they turn around and bite you hard."
Juliun shrugs.

Juliun says, "So I turned to a specific flower, the snowsprite. A flower that can only be found in the most remote and coldest regions of Shard and no where else."

Juliun says, "The flower is also the symbol of this Goddess, and in the end, she was my theme. Since hardly anyone remembers or knows her, I decided to take this time to enrich your lives with this little bit of knowledge."

Juliun says, "This first song I heard from my mother when I was young. We were all taught early about Fallanas since, even though she only helps when she feels like it, she punishes people all the time."

Juliun casually observes the area.
Juliun shivers.
Juliun gets an ebony-edged rosewood violin with a carved ebony bridge and pegs from inside an elegant tapestry case knotted with silken tassels.
Juliun gets an ebony violin bow from inside his bow pouch.

(Juliun places the violin between his chin and his shoulder, glances down to make sure his fingers are on the right strings, and starts the song with a series of low notes.)

Juliun grins.

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"In Shard, in the past, a long time ago
A baby was born in the mountainous cold
She was left on a doorstep with a card that told
The young girl's name was Fallanas
     The beautiful name of Fallanas"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"She lived with the orphans in the Shardic hills
Where even in summer, the snow fell still
Protected by warmth, they felt no chill
But all was not what it seemed
It was certainly not what it seemed"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"An outcast, a bother, troublesome, and vain
When not made fun of, she was beat with a cane
Because of the hurt and the sadness and pain
     A demon entered her soul
     Altered and changed her soul"

(Juliun shifts the bow over from the lower tones to the higher. Bringing his fingers closer to the main body of the violin, he continues playing the same tune in a minor key.)

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"A sharp blade gleamed in the dead of night
     Carefully hidden from sleeping sights
As the moon flowed in, clasping handle tight
She started her night of fun
     Her revengeful night of fun"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"The demon in her heart clamored for more
He cried out for blood and cried out for gore
She laughed aloud, moving from floor to floor
As the night wore on and on
It seemed to go on and on"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"When the rays of the sun flowed over the land
The knife still lay grasped in her bloody hand
Curled up in a ball, for she could not stand
And mortal fear clouded her heart
Gnawed and chewed on her heart"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Thoughts of hanging and beheading to herself did occur
But then over the breeze came a spoken word
And she jumped to her feet as soon as she heard
     For it had been immortality
     The gift of immortality"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"The moon arose to an empty scene
Except for a knife that was still very keen
And covered with a thin layer of blood and dew sheen
     Was a very tiny snowsprite
     An extremely poisonous snowsprite"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"In the deep Shardic mountains where only Elves go
The legend of Fallanas is always well known
And if you stand in the house where the breeze always blows
You can hear the whispers of Fallanas
     The deadly whispers of Fallanas"

(Juliun drags his bow across the strings slowly and lightly before letting it slide off, causing the last note to hang in the air.)

Juliun grins.
Juliun bows.
Juliun puts his violin in a soft-blue velvet backpack embroidered in silvery stars.
Juliun puts his bow in his bow pouch.

Juliun smiles slightly and leans back against the table behind himself.

Juliun says, "There are many different stories about how Elves and faeries came to be in our world, but when I was growing up there was only one. It takes place in my village before it was rebuilt...that infamous place where everything seems to go wrong..."

Juliun says, "A long time ago, a baby was born to a human couple in a S'kra Mur village. Being wanted for some such deed in the Zoluren area, they felt it would be safer for themselves and the unborn child if they moved down south, and it was simply chance that the lady was ready to bear her child while passing through."

Juliun says, "Everything about the child appeared to be normal. She had ten toes, ten fingers, and her eyes were a brilliant shade of purple. However, she had two defects." He smiles oddly before continuing. "Her ears were pointed and she had a strawberry shaped birthmark on her cheekbone."

(Juliun touches his own cheekbone lightly, bringing attention to his own strawberry shaped birthmark.)

Juliun says, "An outcry spread through the small village. The pointed ears coupled with the peculiar mark were signs from the faeries. The faeries had been in contact with her before birth and they had bestowed upon her the blessings of the fae."

Juliun says, "Though a rare occurance, these traits had been seen before, and the custom was to have the child killed immediatly. If she was left to live, the faeries would eventually arrive to reclaim "their" child and in the process gain a portal between this world and theirs."

Juliun says, "A meeting was held that very night, headed by the Elders and including the child's parents. The two humans obviously did not want their baby to be killed simply because of how she looked, but the Elders were adamant. If she wasn't killed, and the family stayed, the village would be wrecked when the faeries came. The towns people would all have to move. That would be impossible, for some of them had lived all their lives there."

Juliun says, "Words were shared, mostly harsh, threats were made, but in the end the family had to leave."

Juliun says, "Not knowing what else to do, the family made their way towards the gondola in hopes of finding another village that would take them in. Word traveled fast, however, and each place they visited had already heard the story of the fae child. They were turned out everywhere."

Juliun says, "It was closing in on winter and the family was desperate to find a place, not only to keep themselves warm, but especially their new baby. In desperation, they stopped at a Soothsayer's hut near the edge of the gorge."

Juliun smirks.
Juliun says, "In case you were curious, no, the hut is long gone. It was destroyed years ago."
Juliun clears his throat.

Juliun says, "They explained their problem to the Soothsayer, let her examine the birthmark, and asked if there was anything she could do. This particular Soothsayer was a very old S'kra Mur and she had the peculiar habit of speaking in rhyme. In reply to their question, she answered.."

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"The price of your request is not money or feed
Knowledge is what I seek, and that's what you need"

Juliun says, "This brought hope to the mother, who had always stowed away little known bits of knowledge, awaiting the day when it would come to some use."

Juliun says, "She spoke up saying that, as a child, she had learned a little poem about the flowers of the fae. Clasping her hands in delight, the old S'kra Mur requested that the mother recite her poem and then she could get to work. The wife was only too relieved to oblige, and she sang out in a light, clear voice."

Juliun smiles slightly.

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Many flowers grow in the faerie land
All of them fit in the palm of your hand."
Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Many flowers grow in the faerie land
All of them fit in the palm of your hand."

Juliun gets a small marble crystal ball suspended from a delicate silver chain from inside his velvet backpack.

(Juliun displays the glass orb, revealing the small white flower inside.)

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Snow sprites are the flowers of death so beware
Those who dance within should dance with care
Sprinkled stars that cover the ground
That's where snow sprites can be found."

Juliun puts his chain in his velvet backpack.
Juliun takes off a soft lilac fae slipper.
Juliun gestures at a soft lilac fae slipper.

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Fae slippers clothe the feet of the fae
But can also be used to take headaches away
Among the caves that echo with sound
Is where the slippers can be found."

Juliun puts on a soft lilac fae slipper.
Juliun takes off a lacy white hemlock blossom.

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Hemlock is seen in both fae land and real
It's pretty to watch but not nice to feel
Not blue and purple but green and brown
If you see these colors, one has been found."

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"With colorful petals like cakes, shoes, and bells
Which one is which? Just ask and they'll tell.""

Juliun puts on a lacy white hemlock blossom.
Juliun chuckles to himself.

Juliun says, "Satisifed with the information, the Soothsayer shoved the piece of paper with the words from the poem inscribed on it into one of her many pockets. She told the parents to make themselves comfortable in the other room. She would do what needed to be done, but it had to be done alone."

Juliun says, "They slept fitfully throughout the night, constantly worrying about their only child. By the time the sun's rays were just barely streaming through their only window, they tiptoed into the next room."

Juliun says, "On the large sofa surrounded on all sides by large, velvety pillows, was their daughter, sound asleep. Quietly, so as not to disturb her, they slipped over. With a gasp of surprise and delight they realized the mark was gone."

Juliun says, "The Soothsayer, who had crept up behind them, drew their attention to the small stone that hung around the child's neck."

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"The small stone contains a snow sprite
Which she must wear from morn till night
Without the chain you have reason to fear
For the mark will quickly reappear."

Juliun says, "With those words she gave them a loaf of bread, some cheese, some milk, and directions to the nearest village. With a last farewell warning from the Soothsayer to always cover the child's ears, the small family left, shielding their baby against the cold."

Juliun chuckles.
Juliun exclaims, "End of part one!"
Juliun says, "Talk amongst yourselves"
Juliun whistles a merry tune.
(Juliun takes out some papers from his backpack and waves them.)
Juliun chuckles.
Juliun grins at Silmariane.
Juliun exclaims, "Silmariane!"
Juliun ponders.
Silmariane asks, "eh?"
Silmariane blushes, the tips of her ears turning a delicate scarlet hue.
Juliun exclaims, "Lets see...talk about...how great Silmariane is! Discuss!"
Silmariane blushes and babbles a few incoherent words, looking sincerely flustered.
Silmariane fans herself.
Silmariane wobbles, looking a bit faint.

Juliun asks, "Ok, are we done discussing?"
Juliun whistles a merry tune.
Juliun says, "Sorry about that"
Juliun grins.
Juliun says, "Alright..."
Juliun stretches.

Juliun says, "They were, of course, readily accepted into the village that the Soothsayer had given them directions to. Finding it very comfortable, and immediatly making new friends, they decided to stay there."

Juliun says, "Hana, for that was the child's name, was treated like any normal child. She grew up like a normal child, she went to school like a normal child, and she had friends like a normal child. But she was anything but."

Juliun says, "For one thing, wherever she went, she always wore a scarf over her head and her hair was always kept long and always covered her ears. And of course, she always wore the chain with the peculiar white flower inside."

Juliun grins.

Juliun says, "But that was just one of the many odd things about her. She had an exceptionally mischievious attitude which put all the boys in town to shame. If they wanted to play a prank on the teacher, it would be Jade who would actually go through with the deed. Her positive outlook on life, however, was so extremely contagious that she never got into any trouble."

Juliun whistles a merry tune.
Juliun says, "It was even worse at home."
Juliun says, "Hana's nickname..."
Juliun smiles widely.
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "At school, her fae nature only came out in her attitude, but her magical abilities were allowed to be released at home. Objects would randomly float through the air, and depending on whether she was angry or not decided whether they would float down or fall and shatter."

Juliun chuckles.

Juliun asks, "None of the other villagers had ever witnessed Hana's strange behavior, but her mother constantly worried that it would only be a matter of time before they found her out. Then where would they be?"

(Juliun pauses and shakes his head, almost sadly.)

Juliun says, "It was the year of her thirteenth birthingday that everything started to go wrong."

Juliun says, "A lamb was born with two heads, the lightning flashed green, and there was an unusual amount of baby animals slaughtered for being born with the mark of the strawberry somewhere on their bodies."

Juliun says, "People began to get scared, and when that happens they start looking for a scape goat. It was no different here. Odd noises had always come from Hana's family's home. Since Hana was too innocent and young to be blamed, it fell squarely on the shoulders of her parents who were accused with making pacts with faeries and using their magic for harm."

Juliun says, "As it drew closer and closer to Hana's birthingday, the outcries became more vocal and the couple feared they would have to leave soon or be killed."

Juliun says, "But they also feared for the fae, for what the S'kra Mur had said in the first village appeared to be coming true."

Juliun shivers.
Juliun gazes off into the distance.
Juliun shakes his head.

Juliun says, "The big day finally arrived, and it was on that day that the villegers decided to save Hana from her parents. Hana awoke to the muffled shouts of her parents being dragged from her house."

Juliun winces.

Juliun says, "Leaping out of bed and starting to run towards their voices, she was quickly restrained by some of the stronger men who tried to convince her that this was for her own good. She heard nothing. Struggling fiercly against her oppressers, the chain around her neck broke causing the charm to fall to the ground..."

Juliun says, "..And the mark appeared instantly."

Juliun says, "In shock, the townspeople fell away from her. Quickly bending over to scrape up the remains of the necklace, she scurried over to her parents. Before she reached them, however, she stopped short and simply stared."

Juliun rubs his eyes.

Juliun says, "In the middle of the summer, snow had started to fall from the sky. Everyone gawked in astonishment as the light snow fall began to get heavier and in moments had reached the size of a fullblown snow storm. Even odder still was the fact that none of them were cold, and there was no wind."

Juliun says, "It was then that the snow parted the group of faeries stepped through."

Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "Like Snow Elves are now, their skin and hair were an umblemished white which spilled over their emerald green eyes, causing them to appear even more exotic. Jewels were scattered all over their bodies, causing them to sparkle and glitter with every movement."

Juliun says, "Before anyone could react, the fae ran foreward, grabbed Hana, and darted back into the snowdrift, dragging the suddenly screaming girl behind them. The snow instantly vanished and everyone just stood there, staring at where the snow had once been."

Juliun says, "Finally realizing what had happened, they turned on Hana's parents. The people who had given birth to the Fae child and hadn't killed her. They were the one's responsible for creating the portal for the fae to take between their world and the real world. Most importantly, however, was the fact that they had lied and disguised Hana as something she was not."

Juliun sighs.

Juliun says, "Hoping to end the curse, they quickly sacrificed Hana's parents and placed their bodies over the gate. It was just the start of their many problems."

Juliun says, "End of part two."
Juliun smiles grimly.
Juliun says, "Move around, stretch..."
Juliun says, "Get food"
Juliun grins.
Juliun points at a faded red homespun cloth.
Juliun gets a goblet of bardic blue wine from inside his velvet backpack.
Juliun takes a sip of his wine.
Juliun whistles a merry tune.
Juliun takes a sip of his wine.
Juliun takes a sip of his wine.

Juliun asks, "Alright, ready for the next part?"
Juliun grins.
Juliun puts his wine in his velvet backpack.
Juliun rubs his hands together.
Juliun says, "Part three"

Juliun says, "Meanwhile, Hana was being dragged through the land of the fae. Besides the faeries that dragged her, a whole procession was following behind. All of them were multi-colored and sparkling, jewels covering their entire bodies. All of then intent on catching sight of the young girl."

Juliun says, "Though not allowed to stop for any period of time, Hana did manage to catch glimpses of the flowers along the path. Running over the poem her mother had told her often about the various faerie fauna, she was able to place image to name."

Juliun says, "Rounding a corner, they came into sight of the castle housing the queen of the fae, and she gasped in amazement."

Juliun says, "The whole structure was so white it was almost blinding. The same gems that covered the bodies of the fae also covered the castle, but they were so tiny they looked like snowflakes. The most impressive part about it were the floral "life" which clung over every inch of the building, representing every flower and plant which could be found."

Juliun says, "As they neared the castle, Hana noticed that not only were the blossoms huge, but they were all made of candy and dusted in pink sugar. Thousands of fae were crowded around the building awaiting her arrival, and she was so overwhelmed, she couldn't move."

Juliun says, "The fae thought nothing of this, for there was so many of them they simply lifted her up and continued on their way. She gazed at the castle in wonder and terror. Clutching at the charm she still held in her hand, she tried not to think of the worst."

Juliun smiles slightly.
Juliun clears his throat.
Juliun chuckles.
Juliun says, "Sorry, end of part three"
Juliun says, "That was a very short part"
Juliun nods.
Juliun chuckles.
Juliun exclaims, "How else will I get you to stay!"
Juliun rubs his hands together.

Juliun says, "Let us just skip right along to part four"
Juliun asks, "Unless we need to get more food and drink?"
Juliun says, "Thought not"
Juliun whistles a merry tune.

Juliun says, "Back at the village, things were not good."

Juliun says, "Now that the faeries had found a portal into Elanthia, they came regularily in groups of four or more. They ran through the streets and tipped over milk jars, smashed windows, painted on the houses, ripped sheets that were hanging out to dry, upset the animals, and stole any small and shiny items that happened to be lying around."

Juliun says, "The sacrifice of the fae girl's parents had done nothing. It had probably infuriated the faeries even more. "
Juliun smirks.

Juliun says, "The townspeople tried to gather a meeting to discuss the problem, but it was impossible because they were continously being interrupted by the fae tying their shoes together or having their possessions stolen from their pockets. The fae weren't even very good at it, but the only thing they were interested in was getting the person angry enough to chase them."

Juliun says, "Of course the one thing that really disrupted the meetings was when the faeries stole their chairs right out from underneath them..."
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "They tried to block the faeries out of their homes, but the creatures were too tiny to be stopped in such a manner. So the people huddled in their homes and prayed to Fallanas."

Juliun says, "She was their only hope..."

Juliun whistles a merry tune.
Juliun says, "End of part four! My parts get smaller and smaller the closer I get to the ending..."
Juliun hums cheerfully to himself.
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun exclaims, "Ok, lets continue. Part five!"
Juliun whistles a merry tune.
Juliun exclaims, "Or not. Quiet!"
Juliun says, "Not going to continue if I don't get quiet"
Juliun folds his arms across his chest.
Juliun appears to be listening intently for something.

Juliun says, "After being dragged through numerous hallways, each identical and just as twisty and turny as the last one until she had no idea where she was, she was dumped unceremoniously on the floor."

Juliun says, "The faeries quickly pulled back, forming a rough semi circle around her body and ruined any escape plans she might have had by blocked the doorway. The chattering of the fae, which had been constant throughout the entire journey, quieted down to a low mumbling and giggling, which managed to finally turn into dead silence."

Juliun says, "Parden the expression.."
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "Glancing around curiously at the impossible site of quite faries, she finally turned her gaze to the chair in front of the room and gasped. Everything she had seen in the fae land had amazed her, but the being that sat before her was beyond her conception."

Juliun says, "If a being could be perfect, the faerie in front of her was that being."

Juliun smirks.

Juliun says, "The faerie had pure white skin, like the majority of the others, but instead of white hair, her's was a blue-black. The gems that lay scattered throughout turned her head into the night sky itself. Intricate patterns and designs had been painted all over her visible skin in purple ink, and a light mauve dust covered her like a second skin."

Juliun says, "Remembering suddenly the maxim her mother had told her years ago, she clutched at the charm and gulped nervously. Bereting herself for not remembering it earlier, she realized that she would have rather forgotten it entirely then remember in this circumstance. She nervously recited the words in her head."

Juliun whistles a merry tune.

Juliun says, "Deven gazed at this faerie who was the most beautiful being she had ever seen, beautiful enough to be Queen, and feared for her life..."

Juliun scratches his head.
Juliun says, "Hrm...I lost my voice..."
Juliun clears his throat.
Juliun says, "Lets try this again"
Juliun accepts Pyrolian's Burdock's ale.
Juliun nods to Pyrolian.
Juliun takes a sip of his ale.
Juliun says, "Alright"
Juliun says, "The maxim went like this...in case you were curious"

Juliun sings in a tenor voice:

"Sing In our home ruled by snow
     Pretty things are nice
They brighten days in many ways
     Even if just in guise
But in the land the faeries rule
Ugly is kind and beauty is cruel
So don't follow those and be a fool
Try and make friends with monsters"

Juliun chuckles.
Juliun says, "There you go"
Juliun accepts Daerlynn's Black Road whiskey.
Juliun says, "Thanks"
Juliun takes a sip of his whiskey.
Juliun gasps and chokes as his face takes on a bright reddish hue!
Juliun takes a sip of his ale.
Juliun gets a goblet of bardic blue wine from inside his velvet backpack.
Juliun takes a sip of his wine.
Juliun says, "Alright, I'm good"
Juliun lets out a deep sigh of contentment.
Juliun puts his wine in his velvet backpack.
Juliun says, "End of part five by the way"
Juliun whistles a merry tune.
Juliun says, "I told you they get shorter and shorter"
Juliun says, "Ok, let me just skip ahead"
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun says, "A small shrine had been set up in honor of Fallanas, and the townspeople would go down to sit, two at a time, praying for the Goddess to appear. The faeries had, so far, not found out about the shrine, but if Fallanas didn't come soon, they soon would. If the fae desecrated it, the townspeople would have no chance at all."

Tiis asks, "Is part 18 one word?"
Tiis says, "I just want to know"
Tiis bats her eyelashes.
Tiis grins like an idiot.
Juliun grins at Tiis.

Juliun says, "It was during the shift of two young girls who both, coincidently, hated Hana for her beauty and for the destruction of their village, when Fallanas appeared."

Juliun chuckles to himself.
Juliun shakes his head.

Juliun says, "Draped in the appearance of a normal female Human, she crept up until she was right behind the two girls and asked what they were doing."

Juliun says, "After their initial shock of being discovered, and then their sigh of relief when they realized it was not a faerie, the two girls explained to her all that had taken place since the day Hana had arrivied till the day she had been taken away and her parents slaughtered to why they were sitting in front of the shrine."

Juliun mischievously says, "But of course,' Fallanas persisted, 'just because this young lady had the mark doesn't mean it was her fault. The mark was obviosly uncontrollable."

Juliun says, "Of course it was, the girl's argued back, for if Deven had not been in the village, misfortune would not have happened and their lives would still be normal."

Juliun clucks his tongue and shakes his head.
Juliun whistles a merry tune.

Juliun says, "Fallanas smiled at the two girls and pointed out that they probably only said it because they were jealous of her, and part of them were glad she was now in the hands of the faeries, and part of them wished she was dead liked her parents. She went on..."

Juliun sadly says, "You are girls after my own heart, however, there is room for only one of us. Because I'm feeling rather hospitible, the village will go with you."
Juliun laughs happily.

Juliun says, "Revealing her true identiy, she immediatly vanished in a cloud of rose colored smoke."

Juliun says, "Too late, the girls realized what had happened. Springing to their feet, they ran to the entrance that led out of the underground shrine, but just as they reached the stairs, a wall gave way sending debris tumbling over the stairs and blocking thier way out."

Juliun says, "Smelling smoke, they turned to see the shrine was burning merrily. Clutching each other, they huddle in a corner furthest away from the flames."

Juliun gazes down at the floor.
Juliun says, "The village burned into the night, and somehow, nothing else around it caught fire. As soon as the last building was nothing but dust, the flames vanished.."

Juliun exclaims, "End of...whatever part that was!"
Juliun exclaims, "Only one more part to go!"
Rizaal says, "six I think"
Juliun nods to Rizaal.
Juliun says, "That sounds right"
Juliun asks, "Should I go on? Or does someone need to relieve themselves?"
Juliun hums cheerfully to himself.
Juliun says, "Alright, the last part"
Juliun clears his throat.

Juliun says, "The queen cleared her throat and began to speak. Her voice had a mystical musical quality to it which seemed to pull Hana forward, forcing her to listen enthralled and hypnotized. Trying to pull back, she realized it was useless, and stopped."

Juliun says, "The Queen started talking about Hana and how after many years of waiting and deciding, they finally had the girl child they needed. If they could keep her in the faerie land, they would be able to keep the portal between the two worlds open indefinitly. "

Juliun says, "At these words, the crowds of fae broke out into loud cheering, whistles, and applause. Hana felt small objects bounce off her body but when she noticed they were only jellybeans, she relaxed slightly. The Queen held her hands up for silence, managing to ahcieve it within only a few moments."

Juliun firmly says, "She will be my personal pet. I will have a list open everyday, and those who sign will be able to play with her for that day. Of course, you also have to teach her how to be like us in every way."

Juliun says, "She gazed into Hana's eyes and she shuddered as she could feel the Queen looking into her very soul."

Juliun mischievously says, "But first she must take part in the sacrifice to Fallanas."

Juliun says, "The crowd of Fae surged forward to drag Hana off. She had no idea what exactly took place in a faerie sacrifice, but from the wild cheering that surrounded her, she knew it wouldn't be good. They wouldn't kill her, but they didn't need her mind to be intact for their plan to take place."

Juliun says, "Struggling frantically, she tried to escape from the fae's grasps. There was just too many of them. Her screams did nothing to the creatures, only increased their happiness and cheers. Too late, she felt her left hand been wrenched open, and in a desperate yet futile struggle, she tried to catch the charm before it hit the ground."

Juliun gasps!
Juliun says, "Through the voices of the crowd, she clearly heard the glass charm shatter. Before Hana knew what was taking place, she had been dumped on the floor again. Gazing around, she noticed all the faeries had instantly become quiet, and the Queen was visibly shaking. Peering into the smoke that had emerged from the flower, a small child emerged."

Juliun says, "Though not as white as the sprites, she was still very pale and her pitch black hair which framed her face seemed to make it even paler. She wore no adornments apart from the charm around her neck which was identical to that which Hana had worn. Her eyes were an emerald green and they gleamed in amusement as she gazed around the room."

(Juliun chuckles in amusement.)

Juliun sweetly says, "This time you've gone too far. I knew you were up to something when all those children were being born with the mark, but I had no idea. If all you really wanted was to live among humans, I can do that..."

Juliun says, "Gesturing at a group of faeries, they suddenly changed form. Leaving their flawless bodies behind, they took the form of reavers before vanishing. Fallanas chuckled to herself."

Juliun says, "Seeing their grim futures, the rest of the fae tried to escape, but Fallanas quickly slammed the doors shut and continued with her punishment. Changed some into water, fire, and sand sprites, and others into nyads and dryads, she let them loose into the world they so wanted to go to. Minus their beauty and half of their power, of course.."

Juliun says, "When she was done, there was a small group of fae left that she had spared along with the Queen. Smirking down at the beings who trembled before her, she told them that they were the small group of faeries who would be allowed to keep most of their fae traits. Fallanas was one of the creators of the fae, no matter what Dergati holds fame for, and she didn't want to see them completely destroyed."

Juliun says, "Snapping her fingers, she transformed them from being the size of the flowers that surrounded them to twice the hight of a human. "

Juliun says, "With a laugh, she blew them out of the castle, slamming the door behind them, and they landed in Shard, becoming the very first Elves."

Juliun says, "With her first problems gone, Fallanas turned to look at the girl who had been the cause of it all."

Juliun playfully says, "So you're the cause of all my problems, hrm? I would have left you to the fae, but you did have the necklace that I gave to Yuki, and I do owe her. Don't see this as a favorable thing from me. I could easily have let the fae do what they wanted. I won't be so compassionate again. I only promised one favor. I'm going to send you back now."

Juliun says, "Calling out to Fallanas, Hana cried desperately that she had to have the mark removed. It had been the cause of all her problems, and if she came back with the mark on her cheek, the towns people would slaughter her."

Juliun says, "Chuckling to herself, Fallanas reached out to teach the mark."

Juliun playfully says, "I don't think you'll have to worry about your parents or the townspeople, little one, and leaving the mark will make your life so interesting..."

Juliun says, "The world around Hana shimmered and fell apart as she was taken back into her own. Suddenly she was sitting in the fresh snow, blinking against the sunlight and wondering where she was."

Juliun says, "The realities of the death of her parents and the village with all her friends sank heavily into her, but she got managed to make her way to the Soothsayer who had helped her so long ago."

Juliun says, "Reaching the hut, she noticed it was empty for the Soothsayer had already passed on. To escape the cold and because it was nearing dark, she set herself up in the room she had occupied long ago as a baby and slept..."

Juliun smiles slightly.

Juliun says, "Legend says in the morning she had vanished and only a snowsprite was left in her place. Whether she was retaken by Fallanas or abducted by the newly made Elves is unknown, but the hut burned down soon after.."

Juliun says, "All that is left is the mark..."

(Juliun touches the mark on his cheekbone.)
Juliun chuckles.

Juliun exclaims, "The end!"

Juliun strikes a heroic pose.
Juliun bows.

Juliun says, "If I have time...I have one last song to sing..."
Juliun raises an eyebrow in Daerlynn's direction.
Daerlynn exclaims, "Sure!"
Juliun smiles.
Juliun says, "Great"
Juliun clears his throat.

Juliun says, "Living in the mountains does pose some problems, and when the snow fell exceptionally hard, all we could do was sit inside as close to the fire as possible and listen to stories."

Juliun says, "Many of them were, of course, about Fallanas. The village I grew up in could be called Fallanas' Village the way that everyone was so devoted to her."

Juliun chuckles to himself.

Juliun mischievously sings in a tenor voice:

    "Though his memory is great
And what he does, he doesn't hate
     He always forgets and returns
To that field in his mind
That is one of a kind
And from her dancing steps he might learn"

(Juliun clasps his hands behind his back and steps gracefully from one side to the other, never seeming to keep more then one foot down at a time. Still using the same move, he glides around in a circle, coming to a rest when he faces the audience again.)

Juliun playfully sings in a tenor voice:

    "When the sun goes down
     And the moons arise
     To be followed by night
And the stars in the skies
     Then it's over the hills
     And far away
     And that's where the fields
     Of snowsprites lay"

Juliun grins.

Juliun dreamily sings in a tenor voice:

"Her name, does it matter? It's all worthless chatter
Her beauty, it puts words to shame
     Violet eyes, how they gleam
Like the gloss on fresh cream
And her pale skin compliments this dame"

Juliun wistfully sings in a tenor voice:

"And they dance in the sprites
     Underneath the star's lights
Covered in dew from the flowers
They go on till sun strikes
     When she suddenly takes flight
And escapes to her well hidden tower"

(Juliun holds one arm out as if resting on another person's hip and raises his other arm above his head as if clasping the person's hand. Mimicing the movements, he appears to twirl the invisible dancer away from himself before pulling her back in.)

Juliun playfully sings in a tenor voice:

    "When the sun goes down
     And the moons arise
     To be followed by night
And the stars in the skies
     Then it's over the hills
     And far away
     And that's where the fields
     Of snowsprites lay"

Juliun smiles playfully.

Juliun sadly sings in a tenor voice:

"Time went by in a flash
And all his friends had passed
     On to a brighter life
Yet he stayed in his mind
And in her he would find
No dagger, or crossbolt, or knife"

Juliun hauntingly sings in a tenor voice:

    "Although he's now jaded
     The sprites never faded
They seem to grow stronger each day
     You all must have guessed
     He was dancing with death
And she doesn't give her victims away"

Juliun playfully sings in a tenor voice:

    "When the sun goes down
     And the moons arise
     To be followed by night
And the stars in the skies
     Then it's over the hills
     And far away
     And that's where the fields
     Of snowsprites lay"

(Juliun jumps into the air, leaping foreward and twisting his body at the same time. He manages to spin around three times before landing firmly on one knee and one foot.)

Juliun takes off a lacy white hemlock blossom.
Moving in a rhythmic circle Silmariane swishes her gauze skirt quickly side-to-side, creating a blur of color and motion as she dances.
Juliun chuckles to himself.
Juliun offers Silmariane a lacy white hemlock blossom.
Silmariane looks at Juliun and blushes.
Juliun winks at Silmariane.
Juliun bows.
Silmariane accepts Juliun's hemlock blossom.

Juliun exclaims, "Thanks! You've been great!"
Juliun chuckles.
Juliun says, "You're all too kind."
Daerlynn exclaims, "Lets all hear it once more for Juliun!"
