Larisah Concert,
2/10/2001, Daerlynn’s Concert Series, Arthe Hollow Inn
As transcribed by
Mykk Dalys
It has been 364 years, 81 days since the Victory of
Lanival the Redeemer.
It is the 3rd month of Lirisa the Archer in the year
of the Silver Unicorn.
It is currently spring and it is approaching
sunrise.
The sky is clear.
[Arthe Hollow Inn, Common Room]
The room is filled with long, low tables and stools,
where several people sit eating hearty bowls of Arthe Hollow's popular lamb
stew. A large stone fireplace dominates
one wall. Daisy Burdock, the inn's cook
and waitress, crosses the room carrying a precarious arrangement of bowls and
plates. She stops briefly to tease and
joke with a regular customer. A sign is
posted prominently next to the archway.
You also see a wooden menuboard, a polished wooden bar, some wooden
stairs, and an open doorway.

Your mind hears
Melindrha thinking, "Come see the incomperable Larisah, in concert at the
Arthe Hollow Inn, starting soon"
Your mind hears
Melindrha thinking, "We're still short a few people, specifically you, at
the Arthe Hollow Inn. Free concert,
free food and booze!"
Your mind hears Larisah thinking, "Free
kisses?"
Your mind hears Melindrha thinking,
"::laughs:: that's your call, as
the performer"
Your mind hears Larisah thinking, "Hmmm.. I
guess they would have to bring a note from Joubeyrt, saying it was okay."
Your mind hears Melindrha thinking, "Concert at
the Arthe Hollow Inn, a step north and a step east from the gate to the
Dale. All are welcome!"
Daerlynn says, "I Wanted to thank you all for coming tonight!! I know this is
a rough night, what with the Thief dance... and the auction.."
Daerlynn says, "Tonight we have a wonderful
person.. and Bard.. to give us of her talents.
Most of you know Larisah... "
Daerlynn says, "Larisah... was always an
inspiration to me, as a person growing up here... I could not ever begin to tell her how much I owe her..."
Larisah says, "Nothing, but a smooch."
Daerlynn blushes a bright red color.
Larisah hums to herself.
Daerlynn gives Larisah a smooch.
Larisah lets out a deep sigh of contentment.
Daerlynn exclaims, "So.... without further talking from me...
Larisah!!"
Daerlynn gets an impish expression on her face, and
lets out a hearty cheer.
Larisah says, "Glad you can make it, and I will
just jump right in with my first story."
Larisah smiles softly as she announces her tale, 'The
Babe and The Dark.'
Larisah smiles with a far off look in her eyes.
Larisah quietly says, "A frayed green ribbon
was fluttering in the breeze, caught upon a scrawny branch. The pale skinned elf, sitting upon a
night-black horse bent over to caress it gently. 'She is near,' he quietly said.
'Soon again, she will be mine.'
Breathing in deep, he made his way deeper into the forest, following a
trail only he could sense. "
(Larisah pushes a bit of stray hair behind her
pointed ear and straightens her shoulders with a quick smile.)
Larisah matter-of-factly says, "There was once
a time when a man and woman were brought together in fixed marriages, for
mutual benefit and advancement of the family line. Those who rebelled against it were expelled by their families and
sent out to fend for themselves. "
Larisah says, "One such was a maid named
Emara. She was not a beauty, nor one
who would go against her family's wishes.
She felt though, she had no choice when her family wished her to wed the
elven Dark Lord Malvs. "
Larisah darkly says, "Lord Malvs was such a man
that mothers would use his name to frighten small children into behaving. Rich and powerful he was, but was seemingly
born without a heart. He cared for
nothing but his lands and his beasts.
Women were but chattel to him."
(Larisah inhales sharply.)
Larisah says, "Gathering her belongings, Emara
crept out her home before the sun could rise. With a deep sigh of regret, she
sets out to find shelter among distant relatives. She knew that never again would she see her family, but the
alternative was far worse."
Larisah says, "Lord Malvs, was extremely
angered by they news of her departure.
A mark upon his honor he would not stand. He took their youngest
daughter as recompense; a beautiful babe with dark brown curls and eyes the
color of jade. Her name was Emerie; she
was only a few years old when she became the intended of the Dark Lord
Malvs. "
Larisah slowly says, "He took her to his castle
dark, ashen gray stone cold as death. A
fortress impenetrable by any, as noted by the many graves scattered about his
lands. Not a sound did Emerie make as she was thrust into the hands of a
waiting nurse."
Larisah says, "The nurse, a poor woman from a
near by village, held the babe to her.
A tear in her eye as she took her up to her new room. Up the dark stairs, climbing high into the
highest tower, there to Emerie's room they went. A plain room, but warm and made comfortable by the nurse, who had
much love to share with her new young charge."
Larisah says, "Lord Malvs was a busy man, but
wished to mold his future wife to his specifications. Knowing that she was far too young to learn much, he left her in
the care of the nurse. With his most
trusted advisor Thorn checking up on them."
Larisah says, "The babe Emerie was a happy
child; she adapted well to her new surroundings. Those around her could not but giggle at her antics. The things that she did..the faces she
made. Even Thorn could not help but
laugh when she was found digging up treasures in the garden, all dirty but
proud that she had found an old gate key."
Larisah smiles gently, followed with a fleeting look
of pain.
Larisah says, "Sadly, Emerie could not stay a
child, something beneath Lord Malvs notice.
As she grew he took a more active role in her education. He had her learn music, art, and dance. He believed she did not need to learn much
more then that. "
Larisah says, "Emerie though had different
ideas. She read books from the massive
library, worked around the garden tending all sorts of plants, and kept herself
away from him, as much as possible. She
grew up to be one smart young lady."
Larisah says, "The years went by swiftly for
young Emerie. Too soon, Lord Malvs
introduced her to his world, at the tender age of 25 . Silent echoes of her
steps as she climbed down the creaking stairs.
She gulped as she came to the door that separated her life from
his."
Larisah says, "Gently knocking, she heard come
in, and opened up the door slowly.
Candles flickering along the walls, a giant round table laid with golden
placing, soft thick rugs upon the floor.
There he sat, the master of this castle, the Dark Lord Malvs. Golden hair he had with eyes a dark storm
blue, he looked at her silently and gestured for her to be seated. "
Larisah firmly says, "'Each night you will dine
with me, each night you will sing for me, I will hear of your day and you will
hear of mine' he said firmly. 'When you reach the age of 35 you will become my
bride and bare my future sons, and you will obey me in all things.'"
Larisah says, "Each night came, and she did as
he wished. She sang to him sweet songs
of love, and tales of warriors strong.
Each night she told him of her learnings and her garden growing. Then she would sit and listen as he told her
of his days."
(Larisah pauses briefly, a frown creases her brow as
she continues on.)
Larisah darkly says, "'This day the village of
Arthe decided not to pay their dues, I sent my men to take from them all their
taffleberries and stomp each one. Only
one or two halflings got in the way, so not much challenge for my men,' was one
such day of his."
(Larisah inhales deeply and glances hesitantly at
the crowd, hoping not to offend any lovely halflings.)
Larisah says, "As time went by though, his
stories were less of murder and woe.
There were funny stories of folks he knew. Stories of battles in which his father fought. Emerie was getting to enjoy his company, and
he hers. Those around Lord Malvs were
in a bit of a shock to find him gazing at her tenderly. Emerie was getting to look forward to the
day they would wed."
Larisah says, "Thus, the time flew, as it is
wont to do. Her 35th birthday was just
a few days away when she heard the news.
Her older sister Emara had been found, dead in her home, with a dagger
of Lord Malvs in her chest. Shocked into the realization that the man she was
going to marry could do such a thing, she knew she had to get away."
(Larisah gazes at the crowd with a look of sadness
and shakes her head slowly.)
Larisah says, "Early the next morning, Emerie
slipped out to her garden with her sturdiest cloths on. She took the old key she had found when she
was younger and unlocked the old Iron Gate.
Slipping slightly on the dew covered grass; she climbed down an old
worn, trail and entered the surrounding forest. "
Larisah says, "The dark woods were filled with
lots of game, and creatures that the Lord had imported for his sport. Some of the creatures he himself made with
the bones of old enemies. Of course,
Emerie knew none of this, just that it seemed the best place to hide in. "
Larisah says, "When Lord Malvs found out that
Emerie had fled, he first felling was one of disbelief. He then grew into a rage so intense the
servants went into hiding. His man
Thorn, tried to keep him from chasing her down but was unsuccessful. Lord Malvs climbed on his massive black
stallion and set of in search of her."
Larisah says, "Thorn, knowing Emerie would not
have fled unless something had provoked her, started to look into the reasons
of her leaving. In his search he found
that one of the maids had told her the story of her sister Emara. Thorn knew that Emara was not dead, but in
fact married to someone in a nearby village."
Larisah leans forward.
Larisah says, "It turned out the maid was in
the employ of one of Lord Malvs rivals, and she had been sent there to disrupt
his happiness. Thorn set out with a
group of men to find his lord, before it was too late. He left saying a prayer
on his lips, something he rarely did."
Larisah slowly says, "A frayed green ribbon was
fluttering in the breeze, caught upon a scrawny branch. The pale skinned elf, sitting upon a
night-black horse bent over to caress it gently. 'She is near,' he quietly said.
'Soon again, she will be mine.'
Breathing in deep, he made his way deeper into the forest, following a
trail only he could sense. "
Larisah says, "He followed her trail deeper
into the dark forest, leaving his mount behind to make his way through the
twisting branches and thick leafed limbs.
He could smell her sweet scent upon the air; she had been this way. 'I only hope that I reach her first,' he
thought."
Larisah says, "Emerie grew a little tired and
decided to hide under some bushes near a huge rock to rest. Covering herself with what leaves she could
find she closed her eyes, meaning only to rest briefly. Asleep beneath some thorny bushes, Emerie
was found."
Larisah says, "She was not found by Lord Malvs,
nor by Thorn, but by one of the forest creatures. A big burly man with the look of an oak tree. He had scattered about him leaves of many
colors and arms like thick tree limbs.
He spied her and smiled madly. "
Larisah says, "Just then, came the Dark Lord
drawing his sword to engage the Oak man.
'I will be the one to deal with her, not you,' he said angrily. The man's eyes did flare red with hate as he
turned round to Lord Malvs. He remembered well the man who made him into this
creature he was now."
Larisah says, "Feigning sleep, did Emerie
listen, to the battle between the two.
Opening her eyes slowly she gazed at then in wonder. A dance between two dangerous foes was sight
to see. She crept carefully out of the
thorny bushes and moved quietly to get away."
Larisah says, "The man, noticing that his prize
was getting away, turned and came at her.
She fell to the left and rolled, her dress torn by the Giant's wicked
sword, she screamed. Lord Malvs charged forward placing himself between her and
the giant tree man. The Giant, then with a mighty roar plunged his sword right
through Lord Malvs' armor."
Larisah says, "A churning in the forest, a wail
of distress, in enters Thorn and his men to confront the beast that was once a
man, and bring him down. Distracting
the thing from his kill, Thorn plunges his pike in deep, along with 3
others. Screams of battle and the death
cry of the giant filled the once quiet forest.
"
Larisah says, "Lord Malvs gazing down at
himself in shock, fallen upon the ground, finds himself in the lap of his
Emerie. Silent tears fall down her
face, as she tries to staunch the blood from his death wound. Thorn approaches his master with a look of
sadness in his eyes."
Larisah says, "'My lord, it would seem, that young
Emerie here was told that you had killed her sister Emara. She fled thinking that you had done this
deed. Emerie, my dear, your sister is
yet alive and well, in a village not far from here.' he told them, wincing at
the anguish in both their eyes. "
Larisah says, "With a gasp of pain, the lord
did gaze into the eyes of his love and she into his. 'My love, this is for the best.
I am not a good man; I am far too gone for you. In you, I did find some good in my life and
I thank you for that. Please remember
you are my goodness.' he said with this last breath. "
Larisah says, "'I love you, dear Malvs,' she
whispered as she kissed his still warm lips, her tears silently falling. 'I
will be your goodness,' she vowed quietly to his departed soul. "
(Larisah gazes out into the crowd, then smiles
softly as she continues on.)
Larisah says, "Emerie did her best to right
Lord Malvs wrongs, often was she seen about spreading his wealth to those in
need. She always had a slight sadness
in her eyes, but a smile on her face to those she came upon. It was said that she an impulsive person at
times, and had last been seen boarding a ship one day, sailing to parts
unknown."
Larisah curtsies to Daerlynn.
Larisah curtsies.
Larisah says, "I rarely get to tell stories,
and that is one of my favorites."
Larisah asks, "Anyone want to sing with
me?"
Larisah says, "I will do a funny one, it is not
an original, but its fun."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Oh
a Busker clad in kilt left a bar one evening fair
And one
could tell by how he walked that he'd drunk more than his share
He
stumbled 'round until he could no longer keep his feet
He
stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street"
Daerlynn's alto and Larran's baritone join with
Larisah's soprano as she sings:
"Ring di diddle liddle aye dee oh! Ring di diddly aye oh!
He stumbled
off into the grass to sleep beside the street"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"About that time two young and lovely girls just happened by
One said
to the other with a twinkle in her eye
"See yon sleeping Busker, so strong and handsome built
I wonder
if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt"
Larisah hums to herself.
Daerlynn's alto and Larran's baritone join with
Larisah's soprano as she sings:
"Ring di diddle liddle are dee oh! Ring di diddly aye oh!
I wonder
if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"They crept up on that sleeping Busker quiet as could be
Lifted
up his kilt about an inch so they could see
And what
was there for them to view beneath his Bardic skirt?
'Twas
nothin' more than the Gods had graced him with upon his birth"
Daerlynn's alto and Larran's baritone join with
Larisah's soprano as she sings:
"Ring di diddle liddle aye dee oh! Ring di diddly aye oh!
'Twas
nothin' more than the Gods had graced him with upon his birth"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"They marvelled for a moment then one said, We must be gone
Let's
leave a present for our friend before we move along
As a gift
they left a blue silk ribbon tied into a bow
Around
the bonny star the Bard's kilt did lift and show"
Kerus's tenor, Daerlynn's alto and Larran's baritone
join with Larisah's soprano as she sings:
"Ring di diddle liddle aye dee oh! Ring di diddly aye oh!
Around
the bonny star the Bard's kilt did lift and show"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"The
Busker woke to nature's call and stumbled towards the trees
Behind
the bush he lifts his kilt and gawks at what he sees
And in a
startled voice he cries to what's before his eyes
Oh, Lad
I don't know where you've been, but I see you won first prize!"
Kerus's tenor, Daerlynn's alto and Larran's baritone
join with Larisah's soprano as she sings:
"Ring di diddle liddle aye dee oh! Ring di diddly aye oh!
Oh, Lad
I don't know where you've been, but I see you won first prize!"
Larisah winks.
Larisah asks, "Whose up for another
story?"
Larisah says, "I can see it now in my minds
eye, the young vengeful maiden with a sword by her side. Tired of war and tired of hunger, she raised
her voice to the skies and cried out loud."
Larisah chants in a soprano voice:
"I
call the dragon of the dark, oh beast of fable and of lore, I call for thee to
come"
"Grey Drake of the Darken Moon, Come to me answer my cry."
Larisah says, "Over and over she did chant, the
screeching of dark ravens accompanying her voice. Finally, her cries grew weak with her voice near to giving out
she fell to her knees."
Larisah says, "Her sword dropped slowly to the
ground, as the tears fell silently from her dark eyes. "Please hear me, you are final choice,
my soul is yours for one small simple boon.""
Larisah says, "Thus did darkness fall silently
all around her fallen form, a shadow from the skies above. Landing upon the drought hardened earth, a
massive form of scale and bone. "
Larisah says, "Wings spread wide blocking out
the light, stretching far as if the night had fallen. Silently, searching up
into the darkness she sees the burning red eyes of the Drake. "
Larisah says, "Relief floods her that it has
heard her cry, until she hears the deep voice of the Drake. Deep as if from the core of the earth it
booms, 'I have come, now you must pay'"
Larisah says, "'With my soul I do give, for
peace brought to my land. There is
nothing more I ask.' Silence, as she awaits an answer from the darkness up
above, she deeply breathes."
Larisah says, "'Peace is not something that I
seek, I feed on the anger and hatred of man,' it says. 'Though your soul be a tender bounty I must
say no to your request, your life is mine instead.'"
Larisah says, "Cries of pain ripped from her
throat as the Drake takes hold of her, no mercy in its claws. It lifts her up to gaze at her, opening up
its massive jaws to thrust her in, to devour her whole. "
Larisah says, "The warrior maiden, long has she
fought, her days filled with war and bloodshed. Thinks to herself, "this
is my end, how bitter it is in coming that this beast should take
it.""
Larisah says, "Looking at the Drake, full gaze
filled with no emotion at all, she finds peace in the knowing. No longer will she be at war, but in death,
find the peace that she has long sought."
Larisah says, "'Ah my angel of the sword, you
would so make a tender morsel, but I find that I must leave you be' The Drake's
deep voice spoke softly in her ear. A
shift in the air, as winds blast, a flash of light."
Larisah says, "There no longer stood the
awesome force of the Grey Drake, in its stead a man tall in stature. Within his arms the warrior maid stood,
confused, hurt and angry, for the peace that was not to be."
Larisah says, "'It is not wise to call forces
of the dark to bring peace to a troubled land, they do not listen,' he sternly
said. 'Lucky for you my dear child,'
said the man.
Larisah says, "Smiling tenderly the handsome
man with pale gray eyes gave the maid a kiss on the forehead. Suddenly the warrior maid, The Angle of the
Sword, fainted dead away to the ground."
Larisah says, "Then the young man gathered her
within his arms, tears in his eyes as he felt her pain. He slowly stepped
forward, and as he did the ground began to change, shake and shudder. "
Larisah says, "Rain began to fall upon the
parched land, and the twisted trees of the wood grew green once again. Slowly, he walk forward with each step a
change. Peace, came to the land, as those who fought laid down their
weapons."
Larisah says, "To his home he did take the
maid. He whispered to her words of
love, to replace those of hate. As time
did pass, the maid did find her peace within the arms of the fabled Gray
Drake."
Larisah says, "'I pray to thee, oh gods of
light, Thank thee for thy bounty, peace to those who shelter within your arms,'
said the maiden quietly as she reached out to bring her lover near."
Larisah says, "'Ahhhh, it was never your soul I
craved. But your love, my dear,' said
the young man with a hint of fire in
his eyes. 'Forever your love.'"
Larisah curtsies.
Larisah says, "See, one with a happy
ending."
Larisah says, "one of the few."
Larisah winks.
Larisah gets a goblet of Dalesian white wine from
atop a leaf green homespun cloth.
Larisah lets out a deep sigh of contentment.
Larisah takes a sip of her wine.
Larisah says, "Okay.. a song next."
Larisah says, "This is actually my newest
piece."
Larisah says, "which is not saying much, as its
been a while since I have performed."
Larisah smiles.
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Al
e ti ce.. far away far away
Al e ti
ce Far way from home...
She
turned away from her land long ago...long ago..
She
turned away from her home.. long ago.. long ago.."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Al
e ti ce fell in love, fell in love..
Al e ti
ce fell in love, a long time ago..
She was in love with a mortal man, mortal
man...
She was
in love with a mortal man, long ago long ago.."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"They told her that she was wrong, she was wrong..
They
told her that she was wrong.. and told her not to go..."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Al
e ti ce followed him, followed him..
Al e ti
ce followed him, where ever he did roam..
She
followed him, and became his wife, his wife
She followed
him and became his wife, long ago long ago"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Al
e ti ce lived happily, happily, happily
Al e ti
ce lived happy for the rest of his live..
She
loved him till he was old, he was old..
She
loved him till he was old, long ago long ago"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"They told her that she was wrong, she was wrong..
They
told her that she was wrong.. and told her not to go..."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Al
e ti ce said goodbye, said goodbye.
Al e ti
ce said goodbye on his burial mound.
She said
goodbye with tears in her eyes..
She said
goodbye, long ago long ago"
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Al
e ti ce never did regret, no regret
Al e ti
ce never did regret her love..
She
feels him within her heart, in her heart.
She
feels him within her heart, now and always.."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"They told her that she was wrong, she was wrong
She proved
to them that love was strong, was strong."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"She
proved to them that love was strong .... that love was strong..."
Larisah curtsies.
Larisah says, "I got lucky with that tune,
sometimes inspiration can hit."
Larisah grins.
Larisah asks, "Did you wish another
story?"
Larisah says, "I don't know how long this
lasts."
Larisah grins.
Heston says, "Aye! More romance! Or
blood."
Larisah grins at Heston.
Larisah says, "I shall give you both."
Larisah nods to Heston.
Larisah says, "I will now begin my tale I have
named 'The Ship'."
Larisah recites:
"Salt
upon my tongue as I taste the wind up from the ocean.
I glance
warily off the stern of the ship watching the sails of another.
A
merchant from some far off distand land, one can only hope.
Laughter
in the background, sounds from the light hearted passengers."
Larisah smiles softly.
Larisah recites:
"Closer and closer it draws,
the captain seemingly not a bit concerned.
Ship
hands going about their work, hoisting sails to take the wind.
Turning
away, I do not see the new flag which has been raised behind us.
I just
hear the quick gasp of the Captain before his face turns blank."
Larisah recites:
"Afraid to look, but knowing I have to, I turn back to gaze upon
darkness.
Rolling
clouds of dark grey billowing out behind the coming ship so black.
A red
flag too far to see as yet, waves frantically taunting us with its swiftness.
Our full
wind suddenly stops as if caught by another, and stolen."
(Larisah frowns slightly her eyes dark, her fingers
tightly clinched.)
Larisah recites:
"Quiet now the passengers can sense something is wrong and they
turn.
Toward
the strong silent captian, looking for assurance nothings wrong.
He nods to
them and calls his men, orders flying to all, rapidly obeyed.
Advised
to return to our rooms, I get a sense of impending doom."
Larisah recites:
"Fear, at first roots me to the spot, until a warm hand clasps
mine.
I lean
into my loved one's shoulder as he leads me toward our cabin.
Tender
words of assurance fall from his lips as he kisses my cheek.
Nothing
dear to worry about we are in the best of hands, this Ship."
Larisah smiles as she remebers the warm touch of her
loved one, so secure in his arms nothing could go wrong.
Larisah recites:
"Of
course he is right I start to think, as we reach our room, too late.
A
shuddering sound of crashing waves as the ship suddenly shifts.
Falling
down hard upon the deck, my breath is knocked out of me.
Rolling
one way and then another as I struggle to lift myself up."
Larisah runs her fingers through her hair.
Larisah recites:
"What now, I think to myself as my lover helps me up, pulling me
close.
Darkness
has fallen over us, clouds thick I cannot see around me.
Drawing
my small dagger, some small protection, some kind of hope.
Then I
hear the screams from up ahead and prepare myself for the worse."
Larisah recites:
"I will
not just stand there as others give up thier life, never been one to hide.
We move
forward slowly to see the pirates of this darkened crashing sea.
They are
pale skinned warriors of some unknown origin, not quite human.
Not like
any I have seen, they are swift and surefooted in this heavy wind."
Larisah recites:
"Suddenly before us one of the attackers springs, his knife a blur
in front of me.
Pulled
away, my loved one rushes forward his blade bright red it plunges.
Deep within
the heart of the fierce eyed pirate, death now his only name.
Relief
flows through me as I take the enemy's scimitar, to use as my own."
(Larisah grips the hilt of her scim the memory of
the other, still fresh.)
Larisah recites:
"Chanting words of strength and courage, whispers of others doing
the same.
Foward
we go into the fray, swinging our swords, jabbing and thrusting.
All
those hunting lessons finally paying off, as we both plunge our blades
Into the
warm blood of the pirate swarm, flashes of lightning surrounding all."
Larisah recites:
"Finally, a rest as the clouds disperse, it seems their mage was
overcome.
All
around us quiet descends, the pirate hoard lays on the decks defeated.
Whimpers
of pain coming from the wounded, silence from the dead.
The
captain among the wounded calls for surrender, the pirates nod their
heads."
Larisah recites:
"Bound in chains those who are left, they are thrust in their own
slave holds.
The captian's
second takes charge of that dark ship which again follows our own.
Tending
wounded, praying for the dead, singing songs of rest and peace.
We again
set sail for the Crossings more then
ever, ready to return home."
A tear runs down Larisah's face.
Larisah recites:
"Salt upon my tongue as I taste the tears falling from my eyes.
I glance
back at that dark silent ship trailing along behind us.
Sadness
comes as I realize that is but one ship of evil that is ended.
And that
there are many more ready to descend upon those of us at sea."
(Larisah breaths in deep, her gaze off into the
distant, she blinks and smiles softly.)
Larisah says, "Ah the sea is a tempting thing,
that seems to draw many of us. Be
forwarned my friends and loved ones, there are those devilish pirates at
sea..and they might just covet your ship."
(Larisah curtsies deeply to the crowd as she smiles
warmly at them.)
Larisah asks, "hmm.. want a few sad
songs?"
Larisah ducks her head.
Larisah says, "I have some short sad
songs."
Larisah grins.
Larisah coughs.
Larisah says, "I would like to sing a song by
my aunt Alisonyne. I heard it, it
touched me, and just had to sing it."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Could your heart..., ever be mine,
Your
arms hold me so close to you all through the night.
Your
eyes gaze into mine, saying I should believe you,
Well I
always do, but I don't know why."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Cause you taught me a lesson, the hard way one time.
Told me
you loved me and then changed your mind.
I never
told no one how I hurt down inside.
Until
now, sleep on."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Could your heart, ever be mine,
My arms
hold you so close to me all through the night.
My heart
warned me this time, but I need to believe you so I do.
Just for
tonight."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"But
you taught me a lesson, the hard way one time.
Told me
you loved me and then changed your mind.
I never
told no one how I hurt down inside.
Until
now, sleep on. "
Larisah slowly sings in a soprano voice:
"Sleep On."
Larisah quietly sings in a soprano voice:
"Sleep On."
Larisah hauntingly sings in a soprano voice:
"Sleep On."
Larisah curtsies.
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"She
knocked on the door of trouble.
And
trouble was waiting there.
In the
form of a dark eyed stranger.
Flames
within his hair."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
"Knock,
knock, at the door of trouble.
Knock,
knock, he is waiting there."
Larisah sings in a soprano voice:
